Our own city is suffering from the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS.
Clothing the Need Project is an initiative whose aim is to improve the quality of life for numerous New Yorkers combatting the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS. We have developed a clothing drive by placing bins within the building of the Baccalaureate School for Global Education and our team members' apartment buildings. Using these resources, donations will be made to Housing Works, an organization that provides lifesaving services to homeless, low-income, and marginalized men, women, and youth.
Why we chose Housing Works
Through clothing donations, Housing Works can resell the clothes at one of its numerous vintage shop locations throughout New York City to provide crucial funding for its mission as well as employment opportunities for the community. Therefore, Clothing The Need formed a partnership with the organization by not only providing them with clothing for raising funds to revamp the adequate standards of living but also by volunteering with Housing Works to provide exceptional customer service and a great all-around experience for shoppers. In joining forces with Housing Works we hope to enhance the quality of living by providing funding for those battling the hardships of homelessness and AIDS.
